Comparing Rotational Stability of Clarion

Research Article: Comparing Rotational Stability of Clarion and Eyhance Toric IOLs in Real-World setting

Hot off the press!

I was fortunate to co-author this article with my brilliant colleague Dr Ben Connell from Melbourne comparing rotational stability of the Alcon Clareon toric IOL and the Johnson&Johnson Eyhance toric IOL. As an astigmatism obsessed cataract surgeon you know how much I like to discuss accurately treating astigmatism and a stable toric lens is the key to doing so.

The outcome was that both IOLs showed excellent rotational stability but the Eyhance toric IOL showed a slightly higher amount of rotation compared to the Clareon which was statistically but not clinically significant.

It’s important to do research that answers fundamental questions and makes key comparisons. I hope you find this interesting and helpful. Thanks to everyone involved in getting this published.
