- 2007: Otago Medical School in New Zealand – top ranked entrant
- graduated with distinction in 2007
- 2011: University of Sydney Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology –
- graduated with distinction and awarded all three prizes in Ophthalmic anatomy, physiology, and optics
- 2012: Subspecialty training in refractive surgery in Adelaide, Australia mentored by Professor Michael Goggin
- 2013: Ben practiced as an ophthalmic surgeon in Auckland specialising in refractive and cataract surgery, Ocular Surface Disease and the management of Keratoconus.
- 2020 relocated to Adelaide, Australia and is currently practicing privately at Adelaide Eye & Laser Centre and ParkView Day Surgery
Ben is committed to learning, and research. He is frequently invited to speak on ophthalmic topics including cataract and refractive surgery.
